I didn’t say or imply that people’s opinions are not valid. I said that some readers go overboard in their hate, feeling as if they have been personally attacked by a fictional character. These readers have issues with differentiating fiction from reality, which is actually a psychological concern. As @Anything_ said, people forget it’s just a story. There’s no need to take something that is make believe so seriously lmao
Lmfao what If someone feels strongly about a fictional character it doesn't necessarily mean they have a psychological problem but instead highlights the power of storytelling to resonate with individuals. It's part of the joy of engaging with literature and other forms of media?? As long as they don’t cross the line into personal attacks or harassment, I think it's okay to let themselves feel whatever emotions the story evoke lol
I said "These readers have issues with differentiating fiction from reality, which is actually a psychological concern." I didn't say anything about people feeling strongly about a fictional character having a psychological problem. Maybe read what I actually write and don't twist what I am saying ;)
I also never implied that it's not okay for people to feel emotions for a story. Again, I said it's problematic when people cannot differentiate fiction from reality. Only some of the readers are doing this. Other readers who don't like the story and criticize it don't have that problem. Some readers need to keep in mind that it's just a story; other readers clearly understand that :)
You guys are haters bruhh.. just enjoy how the story goes you know.
