I agree that the outcome wasn't as satisfying as hoped for, but he wasn't forgiven either. I wish they beat up the dad or SOMETHING though He didn't deserve to be let off so easy... Lucian gave the dad a chance to be in his life again(which is kinda dumb tbh) but he didn't forgive the dad and made sure he knew it which is at least something I give him credit for ig loll

The author can write the father is not forgiven all they want, but when he then makes the characthers ask the father to "hang out " with them.... yes, he's forgiven.
Same as i said the other user. The author can say Lucien did not forgiven his dad as much they want, but imediately after he's opening the doors for his dad to be part of his life AND HIS CHILDREN.

u can long for a relationship w ur parent and not forgive them for what theyve done, a lot of ppl can move on w things even if they dont forgive the other person. sometimes, with time, they end up forgiving, some other times they just built their resentment up. this is not a black and white situation, especially considering they have a child on the way
Ok since you're so keen on him not forgiving his father, let's say he didnt forgive him, he did something better he rewarded him for locking him up in a tower to be raped.
