Why is this MC so unlikeable? What a little bitch! They're making him rise by pulling other people down in nefarious ways and they expect us to cheer for him? If that's what we're supposed to root for, wouldn't the antagonist from the first arc, Junhyeok, I think, have made a better protagonist? Atleast he came with a more sympathetic backstory for his manipulative behaviour unlike some near 30 year old who comes from wealth and has powerful family connection in the industry who couldn't make it as an idol, regresses and uses the knowledge he has from previous life to screw over teenagers for no good reason. Idol mangas are similar to sports manga as in they are brilliant at getting you invested in the characters and pulling at your heart strings like any good story but at the same time they are so down-to-earth, heartwarming, wholesome that you can't help but care for nearly the whole cast as if they were actual people. I don't know what went wrong with this one. Trying too hard to please the God MC crowd or veered a little too far into shoujo territory, whatever it was, it was very hard for me to get comfortable with this story at any point.
