It's a very understandable and valid reason. Atp it's the fire nourishing the fire; the story goes in the sense that it'll probably need 30+ chapters for them to settle their issues and speak about their problems. Jjk being the brick he is, it's difficult for the author to redeem the guy without betraying his character.
This, at least if the story wants to solve this problematics in a credible way, and not rush it under nonsensical excuses. If you feel disappointed, don't invest yourself too much in this reading and why not come back to read later?
