the author did a timeskip after their highschool but didn’t explocitly show he tian leaving or them “breaking up” (if they did break up). IMO, Mo was just hurt of He Tian having to leave abruptly and going on without communication. But were they even together in the first place? They never talked about their relationship or put a label on it but in my understanding, they have a mutual understanding that what they have is non-platonic attraction to each other that expects loyalty.
