I get you! I know this part in the novel feel much nicer. It IS disrupting the flow and abrupt as well. They currently should feel depressed and slowly make it sweet and comforting by going to that restaurant together...

I mean if they want to include that, include it after the comforting scene! like before he met the other hunters to talk about the great disaster seem a good time because things has calmed down a bit and people just expect them to only have boring preparation but then bam hot scene.

but now how we get back to the conforting and relaxing time with friends eating together at the restaurant. why would they feel comfortable eating with someone they have a hot-dream-but-actually-auhentic-future with.

Yeah which is why it's super confusing because they're feelings had barely develop atp and suddenly they're shown this future where they hook up and it's supposed to go back to the present romance progression??? I haven't read the novel but it's definitely jarring regardless

I actually only read around that part of the novel after that sudden first dream lol. because I want to feel the real pacing from the novel.

iirc someone said this happened in the extra but around this timeframe, wc is why mc and ml get a clue to get together. so in this case it's just shuffling the events in linear order
