It’s annoying but when I think abt it from the childhood friends perspective, I get a bit sad. Like, maybe he thought he’d always be around him, and he was content with just that? And the blondie comes and “steals” him suddenly, I’d be sad off too :(

Well, remember the mc hasn’t dated like ever…so I guess the friend thought he was “safe” until the blonde headed guy showed up he felt threatened. These are literally just plot devices, pretty sure the author just wants drama for their story. And secondly, damned off you do damned if you don’t. Confessing to a friend isn’t easy especially when you’ve been apart of each others lives for so long. Sucks.
I will never feel bad for a 2nd ML that's been friends with the MC for a long time but never tried to make a move. Like now that the MC is showing interest in someone else, NOW is when you're going to make your move???? dpmo
