It uhhhh gets better…..?
This is coming from someone who literally just finished and yknow what, you’re absolutely right. Sometimes I’ll just mindlessly read. There is some actual character development though. It’s not a lot but it exists.
I’m more than halfway through the story and I do NOT get the hype around this, “the character development!” “The new ml is so sweet!” Did we read the same book??? The story is genuinely boring and gives the reader no reason to want to see how it turns out besides “hmm I wonder if he’ll get abused again!” Like oh my god so much but so little has happened to the point that I’m bored when they threaten to kill them selves AGAIN for the 20th time. I get it, the ML has “changed” but that doesn’t disregard the fact he’s still a complete asshole. Just because he’s slightly better than literal satan does not make him a good character. Thanks for reading my rant
