i think it's the clan from that one time when the MC's famiy held a large feast or smth, and an old grandpa came and tried to repress them into hiding or whatever because MC had previously "humiliated" his sect bc he beat up someone affiliated with them. and the old dude tried to use hierarchy to do so, but then the fire king stepped in and basically announced to the world that he was alive and that MC was underneath his wing (and chatpers later, told MC to become his disciple). the old dude was also someone the fire king knew in earlier years, as an arrogant asshat who never apologized (but that was briefly mentioned). the feast was also held with multiple people in attendance (so MC met the crane/mount hua sect for the first time, and he challenged a ton of people who wanted to test their strength against him before the old dude showed up).
