the movie is so bad seriously it doesn’t capture even a fraction of the manga- the setting, the characters dynamics and personalities, the situation etc. I would 1000% recommend starting from the beginning, seriously. It’s worth it, I promise!! I’ve read the entire manga like 4 times at this point lol

I don't remember that well but I think the movie only covers the story until chapter 8. The movie is pretty much like the manga but you should read it since the beggining because is a short read
Mangago didn't post my whole comment but I was saying that is not true that the movie is bad, actually the movie is pretty accurate to the manga. The only thing is that it only covers the first chapters because obviously they can't put everything in jut one movie. There was suppose to be 3 movies but we have no news about that, I think it happened like it happens with many animes specially Bl, it either got cancelled or forgotten
I’m sorry but I disagree so so much I think the vibe of the movie is so different from the managa. Idk how to explain it but the world feels very empty ?? In the managa you see a lot more of the dynamics between the characters and the world building is a lot better which makes it feel a lot more immersive and interesting!! That’s just how it felt for me, I’m not gonna bash anyone who does like the movie lol I just never thought it did the mangas any justice and was pretty disappointed:( but tbf I am a huge diehard fan of this series lol
I mean I do agree manga ofc has better world building as its the original piece the movie was made based of, but I think they made a good job, since it was only a mov they don't even have a chance to develop things better because of the time limit, maybe they could've done better with an anime. but idk what im trying to say is that they lowkey were forced to skip some details in order to make it all fit into a movie, so they did a good job, no need to push it down like that
def think an anime would be way better for a series like this cos yea ofc a movie just doesn’t have enough time to capture even a fraction of the magic in the manga! I feel like lots of BL manga specifically end up getting this treatment unfortunately. Like I said before, not bashing anyone who likes the movie:) just saying that if you want all the details and the full immersion of this world- reading the manga from the beginning is def the way to go
Well maybe you don't like "the vibe" and that's subjective so I get it but the movie does follow the plot of the manga so it is accurate in that aspect. And yes the dynamics between the characters are deeper because they have more development but that's because the manga has plenty of chapters and the movie only covers the first ones like I said so they can't show much specially when the movie is so short . I just wish there was more movies to cover more of the manga but it doesn't look like is gonna happen so... Also the animation is really accurate so I think they did a great job with what they had
