This is so interesting! There's definitely countless stories about the former and how two characters end up being together despite the obstacles, however this story gives readers a new perspective about the one side character who's only reason to exist is for the development of the main couple. At least those are the vibes I'm getting. Definitely feel bad for the mc but I hope he's able to get his character development

imagine his fiancé was supposed to be his endgame, someone he would spend decades loving and growing with. even if they eventually separated, that relationship would still be a significant part of his life. now, picture the MC going back in time and robbing him of that love and the person he would have become. it’s a cruel twist, especially if the original relationship wasn’t toxic or abusive. it feels incredibly unfair. hope this one has a twist and the MC just learns to move on
