I do think there’s more to him. I don’t remember if it was told or not. But my theory is he knows Erin had the potential to have some sort of abilities manifest. I think that’s one of the reasons why he was desperate to keep her and his son together initially, until his son f-ed it up. I may be wring tho

@WarriorNun you're right. I think so too. The emperor already admitted when he's thinking that he knew how the Duke and mistress is treating Erin but he didn't stop it or help out because he didn't want them to divorce. The emperor was being kind because he wants Erin's power to be part of the royal family. I bet if the mistress has the same power he'd agree to the Prince marrying that mistress instead. He's only looking after his family heritage and future generation since the royal family are losing their own power. The emperor was a manipulative assh*Le. The only people who's on Erin's Side are Calix, Ainz and her maid. I also thought this would be about baking cakes as her relationship progress with Calix and getting the other ladies on her side like that story about coffee and tea, but this is more like who's getting the throne. I wish this focus on desserts.
I may be among the small percentage, and I might piss off a few people or more.
But I think the real villain of this story is the Emperor himself, even if he does have grandpa vibes.
