I can't tell if you want to understand it because it's confusing or if you don't want to understand it because you don't want to take the time learn.
I personally don't empathize with your opinion because I find the omegaverse au fascinating. I've done tones of research on it and written fan fiction about it.

Well i am not a big fan of omegaverse au too, but some of them are actually really good. I just hate the fact that witer often use omegaverse au in PWP stories and most of the story are too cliche.(●￣(ｴ)￣●)
I agree. It can be completely and totally cliche. I actually find myself annoyed at most of them because of how unoriginal they are. So in my own version of an omega verse au, I added my own flare to it. I wanted it to be more interesting.
Am I the only one who hates yaoi that has omegas, alphas, and betas? They are freaking confusing!!
