If i recall, he was using the mc as a side peice and was dating him while together with a chick
He was dating Garam but others found Oi such as their parents and stuff and he kinda sorta blamed Garam

It wasn’t clear but from the few flashbacks we did see it seems like him and Garam were in a relationship in high school, somehow they got found out (chapter 40 shows us it was the ex’s mom that found them), ex lied and said Garam was the one trying to kiss him, liked him, and had nothing to do with Garam, so then ex’s mom got mad, blamed Garam for her son “going to hell”, relationship ended on a bad note.
Next chapters will probably tell us what exactly happened in more detail
