I don’t victim blame but in this case I’m going to just a little bit, Heeseo was right Taekyung had done a lot for Heeseo only because of his mom. He paid off one of his classmates to be his friend purely to get information on him and then he lied to Heeseo not once but multiple times giving him empty words and promises just to go back on them. I’m not saying he deserved this but Taekyung being so desperate to protect and help everyone but Heeseo has annoyed me. (Some examples, finding out how Heeseos mother died but keeping it a secret to protect not only the person who knew all about it but also her son, looking for him saying that he’ll protect him just for him to leave for days on end in a huge unfamiliar house.)

All of those actions have proved to me that Taekyung was only around Heeseo for so long because he looked like his mother and that he wanted to pay her back but he wasn’t ready for the fucked up human her son was going to be after being on Forster care, watching his mom die and being visibly abused.

BUT NONE OF THIS EXCUSES THE WAY HEESEO HAS BEEN TREATING HIM!!!!

Both of them are in the wrong the one difference is Heeseo has been sexually abusing him while Taekyung had been manipulating him.(words without results are manipulation)

Agreed. he's only obsessing on paying back miss Kwon's kindness to him. I don't think that he care about Heeso that much, cuz if he does, like any normal adult out there, he would send Heeso to therapy or correctional behavioral facility something but he didn't. And when he discovered the truth about miss Kwon's death, he hide his tail and chooses to stay silent and blind because the murderer is kind to him.

Heeseo is way worst, though. Sexual assault is not the only thing he did to Taekyung. Rape, attempted murder, manipulation ("I'll kill myself if you leave me"), kidnapping and physical assault. Taekyung did not want to be in his life, he just wanted to financially help him. He did some bad things but Heeseo is the worst one of the two. (And I love them both)

Well yea but also Taekyung had multiple opportunities to leave Hesseo alone for good but he couldn’t not because he cared about him but because he was in love with his mother. Ofc Hesseo is the worse one but Taekyung isn’t completely innocent either.

Except no? They were in an abusive relationship in which Heeseo was the abuser. You dont just leave that kind of relationship. It's very hard to. Proof is, when Taekyung finally left, Heeseo tried to MURDER HIM. He would be dead if his brother didn't find him. Again I agree Taekyung did some mistakes, I said so in my first comment, but what you're saying is that what is happening is his fault. I find it hard to believe you don't victim blame in general when their relationship (in S1) is very typical of an abusive one. Do you tell people who experience domestic abuse to "just leave" too? (Also I fully disagree he was in love with the mom, she was a mother figure to him, which is a very powerful bond but it's not romantic love. Taekyung was not living that love via Heeseo, that was a misinterpretation Heeseo had.)

Your examples of bad things he did are also poor in my opinion... He was fully ready to bring his adoptive mom to the police before he realised she had cancer and was going to die anyway. He was not trying to protect her over Heeseo in that case, because anyway Heeseo did not care for that more than he cared about being with Taekyung forever. And the empty house thing... Heeseo basically forced himself in there for one and was an adult, not a child who needed to be cared for. Taekyung was helping him out by letting him over while keeping his distance which is pretty close to trying to prevent what happened from happening while still being helpful.

Your argument is weak, I simply said that he had opportunities to leave for an example in S1 when Heeseo had left him alone and was in trouble running away all he had to do was walk away but he followed him and made promises he didn’t want to keep. All I’m saying is that Taekyung isn’t completely devoid of blame nowhere in anything have i validated Heeseos abuse towards Taekyung.
