This just made me realize again that EPIC became much bigger than I imagined, I'm taken aback everytime somebody unrelated mentions it

I don’t know any BL where they’re separated for that long (yk with the way bl is) but listen. My sister been obsessed with that musical to the point of spamming it so I had no choice but to listen to it and compare it to BLs I’ve read so here’s what I think. (Also Little mushroom and HENVY Rainbow City Spoilers)






“Little mushroom” only halfway through the second volume of the novel they get separated and realize they want to see each other again but realizes it’s unlikely due to the apocalyptic situation they’re in. (There’s 2 reunions, I’m not spoiling)

“Rainbow City” I would say the manhwa but it’s ongoing and the main story of the novel ends in this BIG REUION after 5 months of not seeing each other and there are a bunch of mini separation arcs throughout the novel but 5 months is the longest. It may not seem like much but the buildup of their relationship and with how obsessed they are with each other towards the ends, it makes 5 month seem like A LONG TIME. I actually got quotes look (I love it so much but I don’t think it’s as enjoyable if you didn’t read the entire thing) (also sorry for the ending spoiler I don’t know how to explain what the main story ending means to me without you having read it yourself) the separation scene was also cinema ╥﹏╥



“From the moment their eyes met, the man walked directly towards Seokhwa without looking away. The blanket fell from Seokhwa’s shoulders as he stood up from the chair. He didn’t even think of picking it up, just staring at him. Was he seeing an illusion now? Or had he come to grant him permission to stop living and die?

Ah sh I forgot to mention (this is to add on to my previous post because I forgot) so the Seme does try to put his shlong in the Uke’s mouth while he’s sleeping in chap 3 of the manhwa and chap 2 of the novel and it’s best to skip the chapter yeaaaaaa
