Idk if there was a mistake with the bubble conversation, but in chapter 46? or 47, when Abel was visited by Karas in the tent, Abel actually said “Apel” or Eppel in the novel. Idk why its different here, but that alone confirms Karas suspicion that Lil is actually Abel
