This was sooo disappointing. Seeing the mystery on a BL got me so hyped. I wasn't expecting another Haruhi Suzumiya but still... The time loops are barely mentioned. We sped through the time loops in the first chapter like it was nothing, barely even showing any of it. Why couldn't we actually havr lived through those time lines as well? Maybe I can actually sympathise with the MC's feelings that way. After saying this was the 8th loop, it's like the time loop plot just got thrown away and the whole story just becomes a typical school life BL.

It doesn't even feel like MC went through 8 senior years. Shouldn't he feel mentally older? Shouldn't he already know what to do for school and art school? He's technically played these games before so why does it feel like even his brain goes back to a clean slate. And I don't even know why they introduced that blond guy. He doesn't even do anything but be annoying. Usually rivals push the ML to do something but ML was already slowly doing something either way and it was MC's confession that pushed him. After 28 chapters, the story finally remembers there's a time loop plot and things finally start moving. But then it just gets dragged on with MC avoiding ML over and over again.

Just disappointed cuz the explanation the ML gave for why the time loops happened could have been interesting. But the story barely even grazes the time loop plot. Also the art style is super cute. Maybe it's too soon to say all of this when the story's still ongoing but I just got frustrated. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

agree they didnt explore the time loop plot enough like it feels like his first loop rather than his 8th
