It is just the second. He’s just afraid that his feelings might ruin his plans to make Sejin an independent person. He also plans to kill himself to give Sejin the ultimate freedom because in Ido’s heart he believes he doesn’t deserve Sejin’s love and even a second chance. That’s why he keeps on saying making a mistake the second time around is just foolish.
Of course knowing the spoiler, that is. Because at the moment, Ido's seems only vague to Sejin. Like, if I were him I would also question these things. Why would Ido wants me but at the same time pushes me away too? He says he likes me but then again, didn't want to be my lover for real. Want me to depend on him and not at the same time. It's puzzling and crazy in that perspective. And here comes play Sejin's very low self-steem. If you don't like me, why am I here? What do I now? No family and don't even have a friend, and my own things. Then here comes a very vivid memory of something that just throw another chaos in his already chaotic mind. To top it off there appears Ido. Another why?
And for Ido, I already mentioned it before. He's really trying hard not let things end badly. Regret and guilt combined.
Anyway, the way Ido said about the mistake and doing it again got me thinking, how many times it is already up to this point. Hm.
