Yuri’s family is dysfunctional , some might even call it a broken family. We don’t learn much about his mother but it’s clear that his father constantly beats him. His biological sister also shows little to no affection, so little Yuri might have grown up feeling like his entire family hated him. He needed love and as they say, environment shapes behavior.
When Yuri’s cousin sister arrived, he finally received attention and love from her. It’s no wonder that little Yuri became attached to her. It’s nobody’s fault. As an adult, Yuri is fully aware that his feelings for his adopted cousin aren’t normal but how can he suddenly forget about her or stop loving her after all this time?
You can’t judge this entire story based on just 13 chapters .

I don’t think this is a gem tho I wouldn’t fully rate this story a 10 out of 10 caz as u said Yuri liking his cousin , becoming manipulative and toxic, his bad attitude at the end of the story were off-putting. He was literally a toxic brat . But overall , this is one of the realistic plots I’ve read. The character development, backstory, dialogues and art style are clean and well-written We have so many cliché BLs that follow the 'meet, like, and then end' formula. Compared to those, this one is great. So when I saw someone calling this trash I kinda couldn’t accept it tho . But I understand,I need to respect ur opinion too because ur’s reasonable ˆ
