right like yeah she made a big mistake but her friend did NOT try to actually reconcile when jia did apologize + she clearly still feels some type of way about jiah's past success even after so much time has passed... yikes
Like why are you still pissed n she's successful now but you can she still feels like she has a bit of control over jia and her writing, it almost feels like she's giving permission to jia to write again but she shouldn't have to have her permission to do so. Imo it's not fair that when people have talent and do things effortlessly the are made to feel bad about it when they shouldn't have to, just because you feel like they don't work as hard as you. Like so what, that's life, it happens.

The way he explained what she did and why her friend got angry is genius. She did it entirely of good intentions but what she did was ruin something akin to her friends “baby” and then say “look mines better!” I will say though that her friend is also half at fault. Had she at any point in time said “look, I’m feeling really insecure about my writing and I just don’t think we should talk about writing or books or anything like that anymore.” Then none of this would have happened. She was stubborn and prideful and it ended up hurting both of them since both of them know Jiah lives her life on a whim and was bound to come up with a crazy idea like she always does. This isn’t to say jiah isn’t at fault. She is. I just think the friend should own up to her own half.
