(Spoilers below) One thing that really stood out to me was Cesio’s tumultuous relationships with both mother figures in his life. I think this might be the only time I’ve seen a character exact revenge on their biological parents for abandoning them to “protect” them, and forgive the abusive stepmother.
Cause it really is true, no matter how much Cesio’s mother justified it in her head, what she did was cruel, to the point that even God acknowledged it was an act of evil. She put her fear of her sister above the well being of her child, a child that was born out of her own selfish desires. She was spineless, and the worst type of evil, an evil that doesn’t believe they did anything wrong, and her and her husband will pay the price.
Cesio’s stepmother on the other hand, tried to do the right thing, but the world around her broke her mind and spirit. It doesn’t excuse the assassination attempt or lasting trauma she caused Cesio but at the very least she acknowledged her evil, carried that guilt with her, and tried to atone. That’s the difference between her and his bio mother. In the end, one abandoned the role of a mother while Dallant was the mother that stepped up
I 1000% agree also I really like how the characters emotions were portrayed like in the beginning we all despised the step-mom but later we felt pity for her and the real mom's self justification was really well done it made us or at least me feel how messed up it
fr, Dallant was such a sweet mom to Cesio before she became mentally broken, and that stupid husband of hers was also shit, thank god he died Flameo Hotman
I feel so bad for her like imagine how they'd turn out if Cesio didn't use his manipulation diction on her and instead on the husband to make him a better person

yeah, but they both hardly ever seen the douchebag, so since it's just the both of them plus him having been a kid at that time, that's the only thing he could do, which is pretty sad
