Then you haven’t read enough of these type of stories. I can already predict the happy ending with the bells and whistles. They clearly hold unbreakable affection for each other despite everything. Despite ML stabbing MC with a knife, MC doesn’t hold resentment against him, if almost dying in his hands isn’t enough then nothing will break them up.

Oh trust me I read a bunch of them. What I mean is, the author might try to make us think the story is a happy end, let's be honest, it's not. No matter what, the two of them ending up together will always remain toxic, even if the MC forgive the ML for what he done to him. Two people ending together even if one of them raped the other will never be a healthy nor happy couple. It would be foolish to think otherwise. And very delusional.
I can't even fathom how this story could have a good ending.
