They show lewellyn as a dog because that’s what the speaker thinks of him as literally everyone in lute thinks of lewellyn as a dog because they do these experiments on some people, lewellyn being the seventh person and these experiments make them more stronger physically, to heal faster. It is basically making him into a trained powerful “dog” for them to kill their enemies they don’t see him as human. Not sure if this makes sense but if it doesn’t please let me know haha

And yeah all those bitches crazy.. it was also foreshadowing during the chapters of lewellyn not waking up and being taken to a doctor since his body is different it’s even described that his body is unusually cold and I can’t remember any more details but it’s sad how those mutations changed his body
