I also was questioning him a bit. He literally himself said there was no reason he was a bad dad.....wild. But I guess that is realistic too, unfortunately some parents need their kids to be the ones that reach out....

He only seems to be regretful and apologetic to the FL now because she's popular and useful. Also, it seems she reminds him of her mother.
He's only not crappy to Arvin (her younger brother. I forget his name ) because she asked him to pay more attention to him
