if more than 14 days pass since you last read something it'll delete itself, if it's less than 14 days then idk why
as someone said, it is deleted from your history if it passes 14 days and you didnt interact with any chapter, if you dont want it to happen, i recommend clicking on a chapter every 7 days, even if its not a new update
you can also use lists here to keep track of them, you can even keep them private if you need it.
you should also give websites like myanimelist or anilist a try to keep track of everything
