Ok, so... During the Selvior VS Solution incident, where they also found that that female servant had a bottle of it too... that's really what shook him about servants, 'cause they never found out why she had the bottle. They knew why the other dude destroyed the whole family, but since the female servant died, they never found out why... especially 'cause that female servant had been with him for so long, and they were so close... Lucaon was really anguished by what probably felt like the worst betrayal. If I were in that situation, I would probably end up just as paranoid about all my servants... and my noble friends getting too cozy with servants too. I'd probably be especially suspicious of too-friendly or nosy servants as well.
Anyways, thinking about it this way, then the hot-and-cold we keep seeing: Lucaon likes Kyon more and more. He likes to have him by his side, so he gets used to him being there, and when he isn't paying attention, he's nice to him. Except Kyon's a servant, and Lucaon can't allow himself to get along with a servant. So every time, he's like, "oh crap what, was I being nice?!" *push/throw/rip/says something mean/etc* "haha, nope, look how mean I'm being to him!" *Kyon cries* *sigh, pat pat* "Don't cry" *wiping tears away* "CRAP what am I doing, wiping his tears away!" *push away* "Go away!"
Anyways, there are tons of tidbits sprinkled throughout the story! I was so confused at first, and really~ needed to go back and reread everything to catch things. Well, at least it's pretty obvious that Kyon is special, 'cause it's mentioned in Chapter 3 that the servants are constantly changing, and later too that Kyon's the one who's been there the longest despite only being there several months. It's clear the servants are switched out every couple months or so, so Kyon's waaaay past his due date in that respect. Then also, what is Lucaon's job, and what's his plan/motive? We know he's no longer a hunter due to that incident. And despite hating servants, he maintains a constant stream of them in his residence. The huge mansion does need cleaning, but it's been stated that they just clean the same stuff to display, like a doll house. Even if he just wanted to maintain it, why would he "suddenly reappear, looking for servants" after disappearing for so long? Sihan was actively searching for him too. Where was he and what was he doing? Maybe he's involved with his parents' former research...? Ryan's probably involved somehow... haha, I always feel like he's up to something.
Also, I don't really think you guys need to be worried about Chapter 30, haha.
SPOILERS ==========
I read those Chinese raws,
and there's nothing in there that's all that mean if you've been keeping up with his behavior.
Lucaon's arm is bleeding 'cause he got caught in one of Sihan's zero hunts, but he ignores Sihan when he tries to make him go to the hospital, and goes straight home. Sihan's worried, so he calls Ryan to ask him to treat Lucaon 'cause he thought Ryan was at Lucaon's place, but Ryan actually just got to Sihan's place... so Ryan calls Kyon first to let him know, so Kyon can freak out about it. Lucaon's sitting in the car on the way home, thinking "it's cold..." when he gets home, Kyon is freaking out 'cause he heard he was bleeding, so Lucaon's kinda just standing there, cupping Kyon's face, thinking "so warm..." but then a moment later, he's like, "waitno, what am I doing" and starts walking off into the mansion.
Kyon's runs after him, all "but wait, we must treat your wound, master! I'm worried!"
"Hmph, I don't need your worrying"
"How can I not be worried?! We gotta treat you!" and Lucaon's like, "Hmph, worried?"
... turns around, and bites him on the neck, and throws him to the ground. Yeah, it sounds bad, but it seems to be kinda like an immobilization trick to keep him from badgering him about treating his wound. Ryan has perfect timing as usual, sees the biting scene, so he helps Kyon... by moving him to Lucaon's bed, haha! Poor Kyon is lying there like, "what do, I'm so sleepy, but I can't sleep here..." *nodding off*
Ryan ends up treating Lucaon, and he's like, "You've become a lot more forceful and impulsive since you experienced the change (into a zero). It seems like you think you can't get too close to servants. If you keep treating him like this, he's gonna leave you, you know. Whatchu gonna do if he really decides to leave? You already can't stand being all alone anymore"
"Blah, dunno what you mean, even if I couldn't stand being alone, it doesn't need to be Kyon."
"Huh, really? Anyways, I've already delivered him to your bed"
"Hyung did? ... You didn't do anything weird, right? Last time, I told you-"
"Not to touch him?"
Ahahaha! So much for "I don't need him, it don't need to be him" soooo convincing~
Whoops, this got way too long
