i didn't know people could be so insensitive:)) you need to know that he had his own trauma and that he didn't understand what kind of life (the othe omega i also forgot his name) had. reading these kind of plots requires better undertsanding of the characters rather than judging them solely because of what they said or do (that they improved on later in the story).
