i don’t like the brother because it looks as if he’s using her. i know there’s genuine affection, but how i see it, is that he’s trying to get her to return so he can get his powers back. i don’t remember which chapter i read that gave me the most suspicion of this but thinking logically, she was the weak one. now he is. what’s gonna happen when she returns? i can’t imagine that she would still have the powers.

I have reread it, what about it?
Their priority as a genocided nation should be rebuilding and protecting their remaining people? He even "abandoned" his nation once for his sis (ch.54) and now he's thinking of sacrificing himself to give her all of his power for the purpose of rebuilding the nation (ch.45).
Look I'm not that big on him, I want FL to end up with black haired guy (why yes, I am toxic) but for now bro isn't a bad guy in the least.

Lol, and ykw we can’t blame you for shipping the literally main couple for this story cause that’s what the story is meant to make you do yk. And you have every right to hate the brother, all I’m asking is not for something he can’t control yk. But no fr you are so cause honestly same I’m toxic too and im not gone lie bout it.

yeah no. sad that i have to explain it to you. 1. him saying “the man you chose to be your husband” is extremely offputting and TELLING. he is judging her for the decisions she made that are the consequences of his own actions. she had no choice and it was either life or death because of HIM. yet he has the audacity to judge her. that’s the impression you should get. it’s very clear in the tone. 2. “you must have gotten comparably healthier. that is why i understand if you are swayed by the comfort of the nest surrounding you. but elisabetta, please think about everything YOU AND I must protect.” so not only is he not glad she’s healthy, he’s again shaming her for finding relief in being healthy, and that she shouldn’t be swayed by the comfort of being healthy and protected by lesset—because he and her both have a kingdom to protect. mind you it was HIS actions that did this. she had no idea what was going on until she had to flee. she is forced to bare the consequences of his actions and to put others before herself when again, she wasn’t the one who did anything. 3. “come back to me before it’s too late. it’s time for you to take back everything i have taken from you” and what exactly did he take from elise? what good was there before? she was literally bedridden all the time. her quality of life was awful. the only thing he took was her royalty. by being with lesset, she has the upper hand here. she’s healthy. meanwhile he’s the one suffering now. that’s why he wants her back. there is hardly anything worth giving back to elise. maybe her freedom, sure, but again, what freedom did she have as a princess and an ill person? so no, bro is actually bad.

Just making sure we're on the same page. So the two are connected, right? The sis was born with most of the power, and the bro'd been unintentionally feeding off her. Now, maybe you can help me understand how he is not glad that she's healthy? Out of everyone, he was the one who could not stand seeing her sick the most, hence he decided to put a barrier between him and her so he could no longer feed off her power. Sure the kingdom falling was his fault because he prioritized elise at the time, instead of keeping his power for their kingdom, then again she was actively attempting suicide, what's the guy supposed to do?
Elise's power is not fully activated yet, my guess is the bro's trying to do something about that. He's lost an arm, I think he knows her sis is more capable of protecting their people & nation.
Y’all hate her brother for something he had absolutely NO control of and as a matter of fact he himself put a stop to cause he’s actual a good sibling who would rather die then kill his sister. But ykw he is a man and a king who was failing his kingdom for the life of his sister. Chile anyways y’all knew it was heading to be toxic when she got caught. There was no getting better, it was meant to be toxic.
