This is ironic because a good portion of straight and bl comics suffer from the similar problems you’ve stated but you seem to have no issue with reading them despite the bad apples. But considering how you’re aware of how you’re avoiding gl because of preconceived notions, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt

Thank you for responding to this! And I totally agree there are a ton of cliches and all that I’ve explained that I’m annoyed at are in many Bl and straight mangas. But the thing is is that I’ve found bl and straight mangas that aren’t cliche. So despite the fact that I find way too many cliches in bl and straight mangas I know that I manage to find ones that aren’t cliche often enough so that it doesn’t get on my nerves as bad. So despite what it seems like I wouldn’t so I have “no issue” with it since technically i am still bothered by the cliches. Also I wouldn’t exactly call it a preconceived notion since I’m positive that there are good gls out there it’s just that I havent had good luck with gl in the “comic” department specifically. I haven’t found a good gl comic in years (I’ve read plenty but I’ve stopped for about a year now.) so I’ve decided that maybe I’m just not good at looking for them and wanted to get some help! So thank you again for taking the time to help! Im excited to see your recommendations!
Thanks for the help! And I totally get what you mean! I’m tired of the cliches in most of these comics regardless of relationships that are shown but I’ve found bls and straight comics without those cliches before and enough that I can keep searching through them without being bothered. But I’ve been on this cite for years and have read manga my entire life. I didn’t start avoiding gl till about a year ago. Anyway in the last 5 years I’ve found one maybe two gl comics that aren’t just giant cliches or stories I found that had bad plots. So I’ve decided the problem is that I’m just not good at finding good gl comics. Which is why I asked for help since you all are bound to be better at finding good gl. Anyways thanks again! I can’t wait to try to read your suggestion!
Okay I love bl and I love straight comics. No I am not homophobic when it comes to gl. I like watching shows or movies with or based on gl. But every gl comic I’ve come across has either one very fem girl and one very masc girl (nothing wrong with that but I’d love some more variety) or it just seems sexist. The mc has no personality aside from male cliches like she’s fem so she’s cute, helpless, needs to be protected. Or she’s masc so because she can handle herself she’s a b*tch. And with zero plot besides that they are shocked they find another girl attractive and go from 0 to suddenly horny. Anyway this was all to say I’m so tired of avoiding gl comics just because I’ve only found bad ones so far. So please I beg you gl gods. Please send me some good gl to liberate me from my straight/Bl cage.
