He doesn't know how being properly cared for IS like, so he thinks that he's treating him kindly after doing all the WACKY shit. Like wouldn't you be confused if the people who came to kill you patched up your wounds when they don't even use you or NEED you? Like people don't get the story so far. I would do the same thing he would and say it. I would die anyway so what's the point in not saying it for the person who at least gave me a warm blanket and some IV.

I guess that just shows how messed up he has become. He hates Basti because of all the things he has done and also because of his beliefs about him before getting kidnapped. But now the people he considered his family abandoned him at the drop of a hat, and he has nowhere to go even if he managed to escape somehow. That's why he is giving Basti the information, since that's his mindset, being useful to anyone is the only way to survive. I'm no psychology major but I can see where he is coming from, and why he is developing Stockholm syndrome.

Forgot Agent Poppy's actual name but I feel so bad for him. He has definitely never been cared for properly in his entire life, so this less than bare minimum treatment has him believing he is being cared for. I wish I could hope for a happy ending where he escapes and actually finds people he can call family but that's definitely not gonna happen.
