AS FAR AS I UNDERDTOOD: i'm not Sure if I got it 100% right, I need to reread it at least once again. Its very sci-fi, but this is the gist:
so owen is from a different alien race who has 4 other owen from different time lines as I understood. The ML owen is the real one/present one. Their race can multiply as much as 2 to 100s (idk the number)
These multilplied Owen can live in the same timeline but are from different timeline. Like the one with the bobcut is Owen as a teen. And I believe the longhaired Owen is the Oldest.
The same happened to Noi. One of them is the present Noi and the other three are from different timelines at the present time line.
