absolutely love how this author depicts sapphic relationships. it’s so real, raw, and grueling at times but it’s beautiful all the same. the way they make love is so true to life, loved their little comments about each other too and how comfortable they are. the chapters are also structured in a way that lets us see the most of their lives without dabbling too much into it’s intricacies—which i like. nene and jun’s characters are so interesting and complex that i get why people who haven’t yet experienced or, at least, desired sapphic love will find it hard to understand why they still go back to their boyfriends or seek male validation.
for example, the “cheating” part didn’t tick me off as if i understood their having “boyfriends” as men they’d fuck on the side because of comphet (which was also explained beautifully).
also, i suppose it’s easy for us to say “just BE with each other! leave the men!” but it’s especially hard for them, as how it is in the real world for lesbian couples as well—especially couples that aren’t in an accepting environment, which jun and nene are in.
this manga is so so good and i wish more gl would tackle very real sapphic relationships with this much care and intimacy.
