after reading your comment, i couldn’t help but search to see if it’s true, and honestly, i agree with you. replacing the true story with a joseon-era setting doesn’t feel right. but now i’m curious about how they’re going to handle it, especially since the joseon era was so strict about everything...i guess i’ll end up watching it anyway since i’m v familiar with the main cast, and also to honor the manhwa.

has anyone seen the kdrama announcement? they honestly could've gone with an animated version instead of joseon-era live action that completely overhauled some of the main elements that fleshed out this webtoon...but no. I wonder how the creator feels with the adaptation.
