Right, when faced with a life or death situation you’d want to choose the better out come—even if that choice is down right idiotic.
well his choices are:
1.) Guy who is obviously interested in his body, and is working on him to keep it functioning. So far he hasn't killed him, just threatened. With a LOT of torture.
OR
2.) A red headed freak who busted into his cell, demanded loyalty from him, confessed to murder, confessed to being the main drug distributor that the ML has been chasing for months, and has very obviously informed him that he is going to kill the ML when he gets a chance (in a really not so great way).
OR
3.) It is sinking in that the Senator is in the shadows somewhere, and while he will see the ML dead the swiftest, he will still be dead.
I would honestly take door number 1 as well, and hope I can escape when the captor's attention wanes.
Actually does make sense. I mean, would you choose the person holding you captive who is medically keeping you alive (even if with torture), or the person who you know is distributing drugs, easily killing people left and right-who doesn't give a rats ass that they are dying, and is already guaranteed to kill you.
Do you choose the powerful person right in front of you? or the person who doesn't even care that his son is dead, because all he desires is more power. Honestly, I would grab hold of the same choice the ML has. It is a piss poor choice, but it is one that has a better chance of survival.
