I Hate nothing more than wasted potential. I cry atleast once a day thinking what this story could be but wasn't. The characters were well written and the plot was there but the author didn't know what to do with it. I think they are immensely talented in the art section like easily one of the best art I've ever seen but lacks story writing and plot building which are obviously the main elements of a story alongside good art.
So many questions that were left unanswered like you asked what happened to the blond actor? They should've shown the consequences of his actions because what he did to yeon oh wasn't just some your typical kdrama high school bullying. He drugged him and tried to SA him on camera Even after learning about the incident why Jaehyuk didn't do anything? And his personal assistant's attitude towards seo was so disparaging. Also as I'm writing this I just realised we didn't see him in the last season at all. Did Jaehyuk removed him? What happened?
And why was seo's grandma in the hospital.
They never really showed her character EVER!!! Which I think is really wierd because I thought they would've been close because she always kinda used to protect him from his shitty father.
He had a sweet bond with his younger brother too. Which was again never showcased later in the story.
The revenge and the hype that was created around the usb but they never showed the execution? What actually happened at trial? They never showed in the single chapter how Jaehyuk won the trial which was like one of the biggest part of the plot!! Again Jaehyuk's backstory about his mother's murder and his revenge was good but not even once did they do anything to show it. I feel like as the story was coming to the end the author was just desperate to complete it.
Also the side stories had nothing. Where were the real conversations? And why do we not know anything about Jeahyuk? In the entire story we never got to know his pov. What does he think? What kind of person he actually is? I mean we get it he's hot mysterious lone wolf daddy who don't talk much, dominating, have a big dick, well mannered, successful, ridiculously rich, dgaf attitude but beyond that what are his characteristics. What does he like besides Seo Yeon oh. We don't know anything.
Anyway still one of my favs cuz I love the characters so much but still wished it could reach to its potential. Because this god level of art deserved so much and the story was really good.
the relationship development is amazing but what shocks me even more was seos BACKBONE my gosh i have NEVER in my life seen such refusal from an uke during a semes redemption arc and his adamant refusal pissed me off so much which makes me so HAPPY BECAUSE HE WASNT A PUSHOVER. but- i have a few comments about the story
seo was portrayed as this family guy who cares all about his family but after a few chapters we BARELY see his family, i barely even realized his grandma was in the hospital, and he has like… no older brother instinct??? you’d think he’d coddle his younger brother and wish to protect him and shit but like??? none of that happens? brother basically disappears from the story which is so uncharacteristic for seo whos portrayed as someone who’d do ANYTHING for his family.
don’t even get my started on the smut. this book felt like pure smut with a side of story. wtf. i can count the amount of genuine conversations they’ve had on one hand. they screw more than they freakin talk to each other.
also, why the hell do we know little to NOTHING about kwon after almost A HUNDRED chapters??? like hello???? like we literally only know how family drama but we never got to learn anything about HIM which is so disappointing. dude literally SMIILED for the FIRST time in the LAST chapter
also what ended up happening to the blonde dude like hello??
overall their relationship is cute but the story is lacking severely which thus makes the read anxiety inducing and questionable all throughout. (also their chemistry is lowkey lacking which is probably due to them fucking every three seconds and not having any genuine moments together. and when they DO have genuine moments… we BARELY see it??) author decides to give us all the smut but make all of their genuine hang outs and dates happen in a monologue so we don’t get to actually see any of it and feel their chemistry…. sigh what a shame. this had such great potential but feels like the author cares more about smut than the actual story.
