Probably the fact that there aren't paragraphs for dialogue and there isn't a huge ass lore system behind it. Also it's ACTUALLY purely funny with the humor being built into their personas, rather than forced humor. Please rec something pookie (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I have a couple suggestions then! No clue if you've read any of them.

Welcome to Demon School: This one also has a strong cast of characters with a lot of the humor coming from their personalities. We don't get a full look at it until about vol 7, cause that's when we truly meet the entire class and the entire class does end up being important. There is lore but it's spread out between the 40+volumes and it really doesn't impact the day-to-day of the characters.

Ichi the Witch: We only have a single volume so far but this is really fucking funny. Same author as Welcome to Demon School!

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle: This one may be a bit more of a stretch cause it's a mix of humor based on the personality and humor based on gags. A lot of the humor revolves around how the MC is a menace so her and the demons end up in funny scenarios.

Gag comedy is when they focus on a specific pun, joke, situation, or person. I think they are usually episodic? So they carry on the joke for a couple episodes, then a new joke for the following episodes. Some examples I can think of are Gintama, The Three Stooges, and the Home Alone movie series.

So for Sleepy Princess the setup is "Princess Suya wants to get a good nights sleep, and she'll do anything to get it". So the gag ends up being how she gets her good nights sleep, and how that changes every couple of chapters.
