This is not a competition in any way! Just because another character in another story did worse to a protagonist doesn't mean we can minimize the seriousness and weight of JK's actions. And it's entirely possible to read a fiction and not like a character, just like we don't have to like someone, even in real life. saying there are worse things in life is erasing what the victim felt and not making the perpetrator understand the consequences of his actions. so yes there are worse things but JK remains an asshole and he shows NO regret and it seems like he is not ready to apologize any time soon

Can we not compare him to other ml just to make him seem less bad he’s still a fucking rapist dude. He deserves every hate he’s literally emotionally and sexually abusive towards Dan. Even if he gets character development and change that does not change what he did to Dan and people have every right to hate on his character.
