I couldn’t agree more. There is a lot to unpack in the manhwa authors community. Sometimes I even ask myself if they ever been in a relationship bc they don’t seem to know how couples can act with each other. Sometimes they are writing straight up abuse and they don’t seem to notice it. They also forget that maybe the majority of the readers are minors so will unconscously think that these codes are normal. And I know what I’m saying I started reading yaoi at 11/12
This story shows us how you can make a couple a bit toxic without them being total trash with each other. I’m a big hater of every abusive BL even the one I have not read. AND the bottom is interesting maybe more than the top which is so rare. Tired of the bland twink bottom cliché tbh. Make them have personnality and not just be y/n insert. Make them feminine, depressed, funny, masculine, stylish idk and idc but make them something that is not just a skinny man with no flavour. AND it’s good to see more BL without dubcon. « Stop ! » « no ! » idk about you but it’s getting old to hear bottoms say this during sex scènes and even more tiring to see tops not stopping after that. If it’s not a kink of the couple i don’t see the point. Make them have fully consented sex periodt. I want to see bottoms who love sex as much as the tops and are asking for it. I feel the same for every romantic fiction, the person being penetrated woman, man or non binary can appreciate sex without being shy or ashamed about it. I think it’s unconsciously part of how society sees woman and how they should act toward sex and by extension we write bottoms the same. SORRY my sociology studies are getting to my head.
