Idk I also read the novel and others in 188 series Although Xiao(pink haired) part is important to Suiying, It didn’t feel like Suiying would love him. And their relationship is not very deep, maybe deeper than fwb but again it’s not love. What I think what good about his part is how authors portray Suiying emotions when he was at his lowest and need somebody beside him but it still far from what he felt with Liyu.
In his part, from the beginning to the end, although their relationship is sometimes sweeter and more comfortable than his relationship with Li Yu , there was a line where Suiying, Xiao and readers will know they won’t go pass it and that’s what genius about the authors
Agree that the manhua did him dirty since his part is also well written though.
