He takes after Hyesung a lot including not being good at studies and being a genius in a particular subject. For Byul is music instead of math. When Hyesung was young he struggled with being a recessive omega whereas Byul seems to also be struggling with his second gender.

We are due for an alpha x alpha story from the author (it's pretty much the only dynamic that hasn't happened yet in the story). Byul is just a dominant alpha that is a little different.
