I'm with you, fam. I don't like Andrew getting shipped with Nathan but here we go. Like there's nothing wrong with fucking around but what happened to taking it slow and trying to get to know one another ? What happen to trying to understand each other and seeing the person for being them and respecting them when deserved ? What happened to loving them for who they are? It feels like the author trying to make Andrew look bad for not giving the dick but it ain't fucking working. Andrew deserves so much better .

I somewhat disagree. Yes, ppl can express love through sex. However, sex can be done without love just to achieve pleasure. Nathan seem to have feelings for Andrew, but when sex was not given, Nathan said screw that, imma gonna go screw this other guy, whom I have no emotional connection with, as long as I got some dick. Nathan didn't seem to consider personality as long as he got some dick, as it shows that Andrew is kind, while the other guy, who we only saw for a bit, didn't show any good or positive qualities. If anything, I felt that he was sort of off. The part that felt toxic with Nathan was that, even tho they got feelings for each other, he was not willing to wait and go to Andrew's pace. Nathan will get the sex eventually, but going fast is what makes Andrew uncomfortable. He's still learning. Each little thing he do with Nathan, which is all of his first, is a huge accomplishment to him, but Nathan seems to belittle him for those accomplishment bc Andrew 'takes too long'. Here is the part I understand why It may not be toxic, in a way. They are not in a relationship. Nathan is not obligated to wait or be celibate. If someone don't meets your needs, in Nathan's case it is sex, then leave. However, personality are hard to change. If they date and bring that type of mindset into a relationship, it is now toxic. Belittling accomplishment, forcing them to do things when they aren't ready just to maintain a relationship, having to meet one person's need (physical pleasure) while not meeting the other (emotional connection), ignoring your partner's concerns, not really trying to understand someone's past to which shapes them today for who they are, quickly leaving a relationship problem to satisfy their own wants/needs, etc. These are all toxic. Andrew has been nothing but nice and kind. But bc they aren't in a relationship, it ain't really toxic. So I get your point too.but what Nathan want isn't out of love but to fulfill his needs.

since age gap romance can be complicated especially if one partner doesnt communicate. But personally, Nathan’s overall character leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I’m sure he’ll have character growth but as of now, I feel bad for Andrew. why? Because even though they both have issues, Andrew’s issues seem less controversial in my opinion. He’s just a virgin and is having a hard time communicating it. Do I think he should be dating someone a lot older than him? NO. Typically age gap relationships don’t last long because of the huge life experience and differences.
But onto Nathan, I get he’s sex crazed and he’s an adult they both are but clearly he feels things for Andrew even though he mainly just want that dick. And…his behavior as of like chapter 120— screams asshole. I can’t defend or agree with Nathan’s action because if you put 2 different characters but they have similar scenario but this “Nathan” although might be sex crazed as well isnt a asshole with the way he handled it all then I would find Nathan more likable.
In other words, fuck Nathan and Andrew deserves better for his first relationship with a guy. My opinion, at least.
But since author decided to go this route, I’m hoping Nathan has the biggest character growth arc because he has more major issues compared to Andrew.
Andrew might be clueless and naive and trying to date someone who is a red flag and toxic compared to what a healthy relationship would be like but I digress.
I still will read on but so far in terms of rooting for the main character and their relationship, it’s a no for me personally ally but I know some people have different opinions which I understand but respectfully disagree
