Everything just clicks the second read.

Clark was always in love (A romantic yet strange type of love) with Oliver. After they broke up, they got back together 5 times, hinting both still were into each other. Clark kept the ring he gave to Oliver. I feel like Clark was also jealous of Alex in the middle of the story. He never really had any romantic interest in Alex. It was all a game to him.
I hate him yet love his character.. some part of me feels like things woulda ended better if Clark didn’t manipulate Alex into having feelings for him.

I really liked the other guy. His character wasn’t a main role like the three others but instead was such an amazing supporting role for Clark. Wished we got a little more info on him and everyones childhoods..

Clark was probably the most messed up character imo. In the first chapter when we get a glimpse of his childhood, theres a cat shown that’s been poisoned.

-I personally feel it was Clark that messed with the cat food and eventfully murdered the cat. We never got much detail about why he acts the way he does, just that he enjoys the thrill. The writer also could make it a point that Clark isn’t innocent. But my question is, in which way are we talking ‘innocent’? The fact he’s also mentally insane, committed crimes or just has criminal thoughts? Which genre of innocence is he not? When you look at this story deeper, Clark could be seen as one of the antagonists. He didn’t save anyone and kinda fucked Alex up even further, to the point he started killing people he wasn’t romantically involved with.

From my stand point, Clark knew what Alex was capable of, even saying he doesn’t want to date someone he can’t handle… In the end, Clark’s symbolism with the fish hint to me that he realized his true feelings towards Oliver and is not done processing everything that happened. In the future he might even take his own life due to the guilt.

I’m confused about the end what do you think Clark means when he said i’m glad you aren’t in Love with me inspector “ which makes me think was he the one who would kill whoever has feelings for him ?! ___ and the last panel was that Oliver’s finger !! I thought he cutted Alex’s finger off ,lol? But I agree he definitely loved Oliver poor Oliver all he wanted is a normal affectionate love

I think Clark said that because he realized he’s not the best lover and values his work over love. With what happened between him & Oliver, it probably had a big impact on his thought process when it comes to ‘romance’.

Also it was Alex that cut off the ring finger of Olivers left hand. Alex took the ring that Clark had kept. It was the same ring Clark gave to Oliver as a ‘promise’ to their love. I’m guessing when they split up, Oliver gave back the ring and Clark kept it ever since.

Alex cut Olivers ring finger off simply because he was jealous & knew when Clark said ‘If I were to, I’de pick someone else’ (or smth smth) he was meaning he’d pick Oliver.
(So Alex went and killed Oliver, cut off the ring finger & thought Clark would start loving him due to not having anyone else to love anymore.)
