I mean aside from (taesan?) the kid being bullied. He's a nice person I kinda feel bad for him tbh
tbh it’s literally just the first time an MC actually takes a moment to THINK and can read a room. While he’s a complete bitch, its actually quite refreshing
Yes I agree. "Tops" with a nasty personality have been so outplayed and badly written, esp when only one of them is a horrible person coz then the mc will always just be a naive idiot and that's BORING. (lol)
It's nice to see the mc have a horrible personality, completely aware, and not being naive.
/or the author poorly trying to write them out to be more than they actually are.. (egotistical idiot, outright narcissistic etc).
Because every time I see smt like that the "top" always has to outclass him and be more deranged. It's so edgy (and just bad) whenever I see that happen
I also like the fact that he's quiet about his true nature and doesn't show his bad personality outright on the surface. I feel like that opens up a lot more writing opportunities and better scenarios /or more interesting ig

Right. MC is written well enough for the reader to actually understand empathise with his decisions even if we personally don’t agree. Like you said, I think a lot of bl writers have done easy cop outs with stock standard personalities (and without any proper justification).
I thought I wouldn't like this bc everyone low-key sucks so far and has horrible personalities (I haven't caught up yet) but I actually kinda fw it. I'm so used to seeing mc's either be outright snobby trash or playing hero/crybaby 24/7. It's actually kind of nice to see a mc act like a snake behind closed doors. Having horrible inner thoughts and a selfish personality
