I think we're at the point just before the redemption arc. If you read bj Alex the author reunited them early bc the ML want to get over MC so we got a shit show and THEN MC finally cut ML off and he reflects and changes (pretty mid redemption tho but wtv)
since the author is basically copy pasting bj Alex plot here I think that's why(? Like Dan will finally stand up for himself and cut him off
i really liked that series redemption arc; it was pretty fast but effective. but alex wasn’t nearly as bad as JK. the sex seemed waaaaayyy more consensual and the ML showed more emotion towards dg than jk does to dan imo. it’s hard to compare the series since this one is so much darker and bj alex was a lighter, faster read(imo, if that makes sense)
i’d LOVE for dan to put his foot down and ignore his existence like dg did in bj alex. that arc was so satisfying

I do agree BJ alex wasn't nearly as bad as this one but I was referring from there bc it's obvious the author is using the same plotline just more dark
yeah, but dg consented to it. alex didn’t blackmail dg into anything like jk did to dan(granted i only skimmed season 1 since it was a little too much watching poor dan going through jk’s crazy sex). dg wanted to have sex with alex since he really liked him, which caused their downfall since yeah he was basically a hole for alex and he realized he’d never have his feelings reciprocated

did the author think we’d miss bitch boy if he didn’t make a comeback? like why the fuck would you reunite those two so fast?? and have him act like a total fucking asshole still??? keep him out of the story except for two panels for all we care; just GIVE. US. REDEMPTION.
