i’m kinda confused about the cassette tapes but at least the plot is good rn but i still...

So basically the cassette tape have a film inside it can be used to copy and save sounds... ..think of it as a game the cassette tape is the saving point/ checkpoint so for example it's an exploring game and you have to go to the checkpoint to save your progress before u died so that u don't have to explore and do the same thing again

And for them it's the memory and conscious of them they're saving, if the cassette was stopped then they're memory and conscious will also stop and that they're go back as an npc without their memory of playing
