i find this interesting and i wonder why it took me so long to discover this exists, i've read up to chap 10 and it's engaging.

but stopped reading to make this comment cos i genuinely find it funny that i saw a comment abt how uke isn't trash and that he's only judged because he sleeps around. he legit gets sexually involved with a man he knows is married and yeah, the other guy is at fault too but haeshin did not need to kiss him at the end which he just did to watch that cheater's reaction. haewon blatantly admits he just sees the guy whenever he doesn't want to masturbate which is pathetic. and then he moves in with a random guy who he knows nothing about - just knows dude is whipped for him and obviously takes advantage of it while faking affection to manipulate him. he ghosts people he uses, and i don't exactly think he needed to care for taeshin but it says a lot about haewon that he couldn't outright tell taeshin he doesn't see him as a friend or even block him. and then he laughs at the thought of taeshin killing himself over a guy and treats his belongings with no respect.

i'm only 10 chaps in so there's still more of haewon's character i'll get to see. and i do think haewon's character is well written, i think he is very human and flawed but in a way that's quite realistic. but i don't get the whole "uke just sleeps around" because all 3 partners of his so far are clearly not just dudes he picks up from the bar and in pretty much all 3, haewon likes to act detached and that he doesn't give a shit about them... but actively uses jaeshin for sex and benefitted from his music which sold a lot and helped haewon get money even though haewon thinks it's shit. not to say that it means jaeshin's music was good btw, i mean that haewon likes to act superior but when you really think about it, he isn't - he does shit with a married dude who ditched him and moves into a rando's house bc he couldn't use his dad's money anymore.

and i'm not saying all this to dunk on haewon, i just think all of this is relevant to his characterisation and to believe he is good cos he just "sleeps around" is inaccurate and misunderstanding his character. so far, it feels like haewon started being this way after his mother's death and finding unhealthy ways to cope - he is not an emotionally available person - and that doesn't make him trash, but it doesn't mean his other actions aren't shitty
