I just find bringing up shitty stuff a person did when THEY ARE trying to change and unlearn stuff (unlearning stuff is difficult by itself, it’s not like doing “Control+alt+delete” to what you learned since childhood is easy) is usually doing the opposite of helping.
I’m speaking from knowing someone who was like Jaehyuk when they were younger and he happily married to his husband with 3 cats; while I met him after the change we used to have a very deep conversations and he always said that when someone was bringing up his shitty past its always came to him like “is it really worth changing when my past will hunt me forever?”
It’s took a lot of time and work for him and his husband helped him a lot with it too (it was when they were dating)
It’s okay to be suspicious of someone changing so suddenly but undermining their affords to change when they are trying to change is a dick move.
