There is no winning situation for Ido when it comes to bonding with uke.
If they bond, they will share memories and all the memories of trauma uke when through. (In previous life, they bond before uke suicide. Ido has all uke memories and feeling). That the reason uke left Ido in later part of the story. Uke actually blame Ido for the memory coming back cause by bonding.
But if they didn't bond, uke will feel like Ido never accept him as his life partner. There is no winning situation for Ido. He not perfect but he did think of uke first but I also understand uke. He didn't know and Ido not that great at expressing himself. Ido is super vague. He changes for the better in their second life but he still hardly go straight to the point and let uke figure it out himself
