Let me try to explain using my own understanding (base sa nabasa ko hihi). The first few chapters we clearly saw that the ghost/phantom is just pretending/using the managers identity, and yung din nakikita natin pero as the chapters goes on iniimply sa story that the mc is just pretending to not know na alam nya na ghost/phantom yung nang a-assault sakanya. So basically from the beginning pa po ata alam na ni mc na ghost yurn and nag hihint din sila na kilala( ata )ni mc yung ghost nayun kase tinawag nyang young master yung ghost?!? Mag d-deep dive pa ata si author and more flashback pa ata ang mangyayare so we actually can't predict what will happen next
